CAF is a world-leading company in the design and delivery of integrated transport systems. In 2025, the company will be exhibiting at Train & Rail for the second time. <\/strong><\/p>\n We spoke to Veronica Soares Ya\u00f1ez from CAF\u2019s Corporate Marketing team about the company\u2019s participation in this year\u2019s trade fair.<\/strong><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.8″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_days_label_text=”Dagar” custom_hours_label_text=”Timmar” custom_minutes_label_text=”Minuter” custom_seconds_label_text=”Sekunder”]<\/p>\n CAF is a world leader in the design and supply of integrated transport systems and a reference in the sustainable mobility sector. In addition to designing and manufacturing a wide range of rail vehicles, such as high-speed trains, metros and trams, the company is also responsible for other key aspects such as signalling, maintenance, fleet modernization and turnkey project integration. CAF also manufactures buses, with a particular focus on zero-emission models. <\/p>\n As part of its expansion and consolidation strategy in the rail market, CAF acquired the Swedish company Euromaint, the market leader in train maintenance in Sweden. This acquisition has strengthened CAF’s presence in the Nordic region, a key region for the development of sustainable mobility. Euromaint has been a reference company in the Nordic rail market for many years, with a significant market share in rail vehicle maintenance – a business combined with the supply of rail components to operators in the region. <\/p>\n This is the second time we are participating. CAF has established a strong presence in the Nordic market through various projects and we are committed to being a key player in the development of sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility in these regions. <\/p>\n It is an excellent opportunity to showcase our latest technologies and solutions in transportation systems, connect with customers, partners and other key players in the rail sector, exchange ideas and knowledge to meet future challenges in the industry, and strengthen our position as a leader in end-to-end mobility solutions.<\/p>\n We are very pleased to be close to key players in the sector, such as Sporveien, Metro Oslo, SJ and Transitio, with whom we have ongoing projects. These collaborations allow us to contribute our experience and innovation to the development of rail transport, improving efficiency, sustainability and user experience. <\/p>\n We believe that cooperation with leading operators and stakeholders is essential to promote solutions that meet the current and future needs of the industry.<\/p>\n The key issue for the future of the rail industry is how to achieve truly sustainable and decarbonized mobility while ensuring the efficiency and reliability of systems. For CAF, the transition to clean energy sources through the development of battery and hydrogen powered trains is a key factor, along with optimizing the energy efficiency of vehicles, using recyclable materials and applying efficient driving strategies. <\/p>\n In urban mobility, CAF has developed solutions such as on-board energy storage systems (OESS) to operate vehicles without overhead power lines, reducing visual impact in cities. In addition, we have developed technologies for autonomous train operation through our ALIVE platform and communication-based control systems (CBTC) with the OPTIO solution, which improve service efficiency and punctuality. <\/p>\n Last year, CAF successfully completed the FCH2RAIL demonstration project, which allowed us to prove that hydrogen technology is a reliable option in real-life conditions.<\/p>\n Digitalization also plays a crucial role, with the LeadMind platform facilitating decision-making by analyzing data from vehicle fleets and systems.<\/p>\n CAF is fully committed to leading the future of sustainable mobility.
