The Nordic Region’s largest trade fair for the rail industry

Train & Rail is the Nordic region’s largest meeting place for actors in the railway industry. The fair is organized every two years and brings together more than 3000 visitors and over 150 exhibitors.

This makes the fair an obvious meeting place for anyone who wants to make new contacts, do business, network and take part in the many initiatives that are being taken to strengthen the competitiveness of the Nordic railways. Here you will meet politicians at municipal, regional and national level with responsibility for rail, infrastructure and urban planning, government representatives, freight owners, transport buyers, traffic planners and much more.

Train & Rail is organized by Stockholmsmässan and Swedtrain in collaboration with the railway contractors, NJS, Nordic Infracenter, NRSA, Spårvagnstäderna, Svensk kollektivtrafik, Swerig and Tågföretagen. The fair was organized for the first time in 2023 and will be held again in May 2025.

Rail transport is climate-smart, energy-efficient and sustainable. Innovation and confidence in the future are the cornerstones, which also characterize Train & Rail. Welcome to a unique opportunity to do business and create good conditions for a more sustainable future!

At Train & Rail 2027, we’ll explore what makes for a robust railway. We’ll take a closer look at more efficient maintenance, the possibilities offered by new technology, and how we can best achieve long-term capacity growth.

Track 1

How can we build greater resilience, capacity, and quality—and how will that be reflected in the day-to-day lives of passengers, freight customers, and operators? For the customer!

Track 2

How can we strengthen the railway industry’s ability to deliver? Which procurement and implementation models are most effective at promoting efficiency and resilience, and how can the industry best collaborate to support this?

Track 3

How must governance, funding, and rules be structured to ensure that planning is sufficiently long-term and provides the stability the system requires?
